Himalaya Trial 2008

From Holland through Germany, Italy and Greece  to Istanbul for the first restday.  

Then through beautiful Turkey and Iran to the Taj Mahal in India. Himalya city Katmandu and the road around the roof of the world, that was the latest challenge with Classic Events
The rally started 15 October 2008 in Maastricht, to finish versus the end of November in Royal Bhutan.

Route

Our route took us from the civilised west through the mysterious vast Asian deserts and cultures, and though the Middle East. Basically the great southern Silk route. Go to the Route page for more detailed information.

 

What is it about?

The Himalaya Trial, is a rally for classic cars. We have two routes, one for the people who love to drive and who's first aim it is to drive the route, enjoy the scenery and the companionship of equally interested people.
You had the choice of just checking out in the morning and drive at your own pace or do one or two of the regularities just to be part of some very light competition.
